Summer Wildlife Workshop

We will explore the behaviours, habitats, and diets of Scottish woodland creatures, past and present and will learn how some animals which used to roam the wilds of Scotland have been successfully reintroduced.

Armed with clipboards, spotting sheets and magnifying glasses, our young Zoologists will be taken on an exciting discovery trail around the woodlands to discover what they can find from mini-beasts in the ground to the different species of birds in the sky. They’ll explore how living things depend on each other through fun, interactive games.

We'll also spend some time pond or river dipping to see what different creatures we can find living in the waters near our woodland areas.

Children will receive a Wildside Nature 'Wildlife Explorer' certificate after taking part in this workshop.
